Ahh a fresh new week.

It is Monday. Daylight savings gave me this extra hour of sleep and a bright sunny morning to wake up to. The weekend is behind me now along with that UNGODLY busy week. My best friend is home from her camping trip, I have learned how to use, and LOVE my new phone... All feels right with the world!

Over the weekend Destiny was gone. It was kind of quiet around here, but Promise made sure to make up for the crankiness and teenager (esq) that might be lacking in the household. Thank you Promise. Your just too kind.

Rooster boy came and stayed the night. Not sure why but my son always has these strange thoughts he thinks are good ideas when rooster boy stays... Not saying its rooster boy, my son even admitted it was his own idea, I just think when boys get together, they lose all ability to ration out what is a good and what is a bad idea.

So what was the bright idea this weekend? To "splatter paint" A bowling pin

. I guess I should be happy, that at least they did it in the driveway. Not the house?
Yes. This is my driveway.
I do try to look at the bright side of things you see. This could have been in my house, and it was not. And it was done with "washable" makers. I say "washable" because well, they don't really wash off as easy as something called washable would lead you to believe.... In fact, the driveway is still covered in handprints, and I suppose will be until it rains, a lot.

So the boy got in trouble and daddy said the friend was going home. Clean up. Friend is leaving.... Then boy got upset, and was sad. Dadddy changed his mind and said friend could stay for ONE hour (which turned out to be like 3) I joked with daddy that the boy had him wrapped around his finger. HA!

So then for dinner I thought I would take it easy. CROCK POT. My mom gave me this nifty separated one, 2 sides. I did chicken in one side, and apple cobbler in the other! Oh but I needed lemon for my recipe. I asked my dear dear husband if he would mind going to the store for me for just one item. His very smart, oh so sexy response? "Of course, I am wrapped around your finger too, I'd do anything for you... What do you need?"

 God-I love that man!

So dinner turned out, Eh. I used some odd recipe for cobbler and I think next time I would just use my own recipe and just put it in the crock. For some reason I thought I needed to try a "crock pot" version. I don't think it was needed.

Oh and what else happened this weekend? Well I am totally blessed with the greatest father in law ever, which I do think I have mentioned before. He came for a quick visit Sunday to look at our furnace, and guess what? HE FIXED IT! :) Ok so the gas line was never turned on, but EITHER WAY he fixed it, it works, we have heat!!!! YAY!!!!

So that was my weekend, it was a pretty decent one. I am ready for a great week!

  1. well I have to say, I have yet to figure out what goes through kids heads and there is probably no explantion for why they do the things they do...I think they might be a little more complex than we give them credit for. But I will say this...the bowling pin is very pretty...

Its not always 50/50

Sometimes one person has to hold up more weight than the other does. Lately I feel as though I am that person holding the extra weight. Lately I have been wishing I was not that person. I feel like I am being spread a bit too thin... I also feel like no matter how many times I try to explain myself, it does not matter.  So I will just keep waiting, and hopefully eventually someone will come and take a few books off of my stack. Take a load off. Help me out. Chip in. You get it? I am sure you do. Now if only other people did as well.  God doesnt give you more than you can handle. I wonder sometimes if He thinks the load he's giving me is being more evenly distributed than it is... Maybe he can review my case :)

8 years at the same job!

I will say this about my work. No matter what is said, word gets around. Words also get twisted and changed, and rumors fly like well I don't know kites? I think co-workers are like a second family, not like to the point where you want to invite them over for Thanksgiving dinner... More like your around them enough that you are more than likely to have seen a bad side of them, and learned some annoyances. Chances are they were grumpy or depressed or pissed at some point and you have seen them at their worst. I think that makes it easier to get under each others skin and become annoyed. You get annoyed, you get over it, you move on. Your still co workers and you still get through. Like family, there are spats, you get over it move on and after it all your still family.  So do I always love my co workers or getting up early, or when someone is rude to me, or when I don't make any money... OF COURSE NOT. I have good days and I have bad days. Today it was raining, I would have ...

Done Growing

Well soon enough it will be the start of a new school year. Sooner for my younger two, than for my older two. So today we went to get a few things that will be needed. Some shoes, socks and backpacks. Mommy needed a new pair of shoes too, I wear mine out pretty quickly being on my feet as a waitress.  So my son is about the pickiest shoe person out there. Nothing fits. We have to try on like every.single.shoe. in his size before he can choose. Its irritating and stressful. Hannah was pretty easy although she did not take the cheaper "on sale" pair I liked best. Either way she was quick and painless.  So then mom's turn. I put on a pair of 6.5 I wear those or 7's depending on the shoe. I wanted to try those new shoes with the curved bottom. Anyway... I get the 6.5 on and Hannah feels for my toes. "Oh you better get a size bigger" She says. "Those wont last the whole school year!" I told her I did not have to worry about outgrowing my shoes. My ...
