Call me Crazy!

Because I am certain it would not be a lie. :)  What has been going on with me? I survived spring break. Parent teacher meetings. A week at home with kids. A week at work with kids calling/texting me right at noon. Yep. I survived it. Looking back on it now, it was not even that bad. Oddly enough everyone got along FAIRLY well. I was a taxi minimal amounts of time. All was well with the world.  This week school is back. I cannot say I am displeased. They get Friday off this week, which I think is plain silly but whatever.  Work has been going well, and at home I have been PAINTING! I love it. Its hard work, and it takes a long time when you cannot just drop everything and do nothing but paint. Yeah would you believe I am still expected to work, get kids from school, make dinner and do my normal household chores ALL while trying to paint??? Yeah. Crazy.  Oh and Monday. Monday my son learned what a "boner" was. Thanks to another little boy in school. Great. Now that is

Call CPS this must stop now!!!

My daughter, my oldest, the one I am a taxi for has had a ride to AND FROM several places where she was supposed to catch a ride home from this week. The library, she said she had a ride home, then the ride "left without her". The mall, I told her she'd be picked up by Tim when he got off work, and they were COLD and her friend had FLIP FLOPS on and no one came to the mall so can I get them now... She stayed the night at a friends and instead of waiting for friends mom to bring her home, she HAD to be picked up by 1 so she could go to a friends...  That friends? She was supposed to walk HOME from and she called for a ride.  So today it was lovely out. 65 or so out, sunny. School was out and Tim had to get the other kids first, as he stayed for a play Hannah was in... Well he did not pick up Destiny. I told her she could walk. For 30 min. I am NOT KIDDING 30 MIN. She sent him and I text after text asking to pick her up.  PLEASE I will clean, I cleaned my room, its &qu

Breakfast In Bed

Last night I managed to somehow get rid of all but one child. Then that one child invited a friend over. They were up until about 2am. When I went out to make them turn off the wii Hannah told me "But, were staying up all night!" Uh no no your not!!! HA. About 20 seconds after telling them they could stay up but had to lay down, they were out cold. Silly girls.  So this morning, to mourn my lost hour from daylight savings, I wanted to just be lazy and stay in bed. I could hear the girls up, but with just the two of them, what harm could there be? They are good little girls. Hannah at one point asked if she could make kool-aid and I told her that was alright. So I heard clanging, dishwasher opening dishes rattling... I thought it sounded like more than Kool-aid, but whatever, I was being lazy, remember? Nothing was being broken and no one was crying, so there was no reason to hop out of bed!  A while after the clanging stopped, in walks my daughter and her little curly h

Super Mom-Fail

I cannot be super mom everyday. Its just not possible. Thursday was a hard day. Fell at work, dropped stuff all over, just generally blah. So I bought candy, soda and rented movies. I wanted to do nothing the rest of the day, like my husband had done all day before he went to work.  Of course my nothing still included making dinner. BLT's. Apparently Destiny does not like BLT's " I TOLD YOU THAT BEFORE MOM, YOU REMEMBER" so super mom failed again, the running list of what kid likes what and what kid hates what, left my mind and I made an unacceptable meal once again.  I think I am giving up for a while. Mac and cheese, hot dogs, sloppy joes, ect. that is what I will make the kids. I will cook MYSELF only what I like and they can have unhealthy processed crap that they like, it will be cheaper and less waste. My super mom days are over.

Its all downhill after 30...

I swear I am beginning to feel that way!  My 30th birthday was brought to me with a lovely infection caused by antibiotics, then later came other unpleasentness "down there" then Mother Nature made her visit, and of course I got THRUSH. Also a lovely side effect from the antibiotics. At least we know they worked I guess.  So whatever, all that left and I was good for a while. Heck its only been not even a MONTH since I hit the big 30.... Now I have some foot ailment! My feet HURT. Just.plain.hurt.  I am not sure what the deal is, but with being a waitress, and a mom to four and all I really need my feet to work, and feel good. So this needs to resolve itself, and soon. Grrr. I feel old!  That was I guess, the entire point of todays blog. I just wanted to whine a little. I don't do it nearly enough right? Its spring, and the sun is shining and I am LOVING that. So its not all bad! :)

some days

The kids are just cute. I know I normally talk about how bratty they are. but today, well today they were just cute. All of them, even Destiny. Believe it or not.  Hannah came down the little car line to get into the van and she was smiling and so happy, and so dang cute. Promise had a friend over part of the day Bailey played mario and Destiny told me my shirt looked like a hobo shirt (it was Tims)  Today was just a good day. not sure what made it that way. the kids mostly got a long, there were a few SHUTUPS tossed out but for the most part it was pretty peaceful. I wish more days, were like today.  I went to Lowe's today to get a shelf thing to put in our laundry room. Its so exciting! TO think a shelf would be nice here, and then think YEAH, I'll put one in. See we can do that, cus we OWN our house! :) Its awesome!  I got a few more seeds today. Sweet baby peppers, zucchini and squash too. Yum. I really hope something grows this year. I am SO sore from being in the

Green Thumb

Or lets hope anyway.  So this will be my first spring as a home owner. The start of gardening season! My neighbor who has an awesome garden has been getting things ready so I figured I should follow suit.  So there is my little green house. Carrots and watermelon because that is what Hannah wanted to grow. Tomatoes because there is NOTHING quite like a garden tomato! Cucumbers because i wanted to try them.  Next to the house, where flowers had been last year... I am planting Potatoes and onions. We shall see, it gets full sun, or so I thought but now after planting I notice the tree will at some point get leaves, and probably shade a good part of my plot... Either way, it was a nice time out in the dirt today. The kids even helped. Bailey played with a few worms, spread out some nice soil, got some rocks out... Hannah picked up weeds I had thrown, and garden tools and planted the onion bulbs with me.  I am sore now, and really hoping that my hard work yields results!  Tomorrow if

Lazy Me

My dogs were dirty. Smelly. Just plain rotten. I just recently got my bathtub to drain normally again, and well I was feeling lazy so I took my pups to the groomer to be bathed. They got nails trimmed, ears done, and a nice bath. They smell great! I wont do it often, but I think its worth it, in the winter, to get this done. I could not have gotten them so clean in the tub, not to mention my house would have smelled like wet dog for 3 days! So my pups came home all squeaky clean with bows on their collars. Cute!  Life is still going. Big things going down. The oldest is facing a possibility of not passing the 8th grade and moving on to highschool with her friends. I have tried to get her to realize this is important and I think she just thought she could barely squeak by all her life. I hope if she does have to stay back, it teaches her, that it really is important. There is only so much I can do to help her when she brings nothing home and says she has nothing to study and no hom
