This is not my story, it is Bossmans, but I do believe it is true. Because I know Dan, and the things he says and I can see this happening. I asked bossmans permission in telling his story on my blog and was told it was fine, its to strange/funny not to share.
Dan is a regular customer, he comes in 2-3 times a week most weeks. He lives in an apartment near by and walks to the grocery store to get cereal and cat food and just get out. When he is done, he will stop in to our store, for some soda, and to cool off, warm up, or just be away from his house I suppose.
Dan is simple. I am not sure what, exactly is wrong with him, but he's not all there. He comes in and asks very politely for a diet coke. He will drink diet coke upon diet coke while watching TV (flipping channels if he's allowed the remote) and several times, upwards of 20 on occasion he will excuse himself to use the bathroom. He is normally in there for a while. Customers have had to use the ladies room, because Dan has been hogging the mens so long.
So I guess a few nights ago, Dan let bossman know that the TP in the men's room was getting low. Bossman went in there later (after things were clear) and there was a good amount. For a man's restroom it was a very good amount, and would last about 2 weeks or so. The roll was not changed.
Well then last night Dan came in. His normal routine of diet cokes and bathroom breaks. I guess after his first bathroom break Dan went to get Bossman, "Excuse me sir, but your toilet paper in the Men's bathroom is getting dangerously low" he insisted. Bossman looked and there was still enough to last a while, being that it is a men's room and they only wipe now and again.... Later when Dan excused himself to go use the restroom, he bypassed the mens room and the dangerously low level of TP and opted to go in the ladies room where apparently the levels were less of a risk.
This just makes me wonder what Dan would think of Dollar Generals "compare to scotts" brand Toilet paper? I bet he would have considered it "dangerously thin" I know I did.
