You spin me right round baby right round, like a washing machine spin cycle....

So were grown ups now. With jobs we've had for years, a home we own and credit. Credit is both a good and bad thing. Credit has allowed me to get my fillings done at the dentist when I'd already used all my insurance. Credit has helped us get our home, and things we didn't really need maybe but wanted really bad.

So for a while now our washer has been making this God awful sound as it stops and starts back up on the spin cycle... I am honestly shocked it's still working since it was SEVERAL months ago Destiny called me at the store telling me the washer was SMOKING. I assumed she meant dryer, but when I got home indeed the washer was bellowing rubber smelling smoke throughout the house. After that we used smaller loads and it makes that sound... but somehow continued to work!

So this weekend, the dryer just stopped getting hot. It spins and all that, but as you well know without heat, it doesn't really DRY anything. I contemplated a used dryer again, what we've always gotten at 150.00 to 200.00 a pop. I started thinking of how many used washers and dryers we've went though and in our 5 years in this home, the answer is 5. So 5 washers/dryers at 200.00 each is about 1000.00 give or take. So we spent 1000.00 in 5 years. Well went to Lowe's today got approved for a nifty credit card and found a set for just over 1000.00 INCLUDING a 5 year all parts and labor warranty after the 1 year is up. So for just over 1000.00 I am going to have ONE washer and dryer that works, or will be fixed for free. PLUS its energy efficient, something my used ones were not! I also get a rebate back for purchasing them! So I said lets go, lets do it. Were grown ups and we were giddy about a new washer and dryer!

Luckily the seats were out of the van, so we said we'd just take them then... We didnt want to wait until tomorrow for free delivery and set up. No way. We can do it. So they load us up and we get home... Unload the washer... then unload the.... Washer? huh? Open the top of the box and yes... Both are washers. Call them and they say come get the dryer... Ooops this was kinda funny.

So hubby takes the washer back, gets the dryer. We get the old set out and put the new one in.... They don't come with a cord, is that not strange? I mean we just used the one off the old dryer, but still... STRANGE! So dryer hooked up, works yay! Washer... Wait... That is NOT the washer I bought. It doesn't even match the dryer... its the other one that was all digital and funky. NOT the one I purchased. So I call ONCE AGAIN and we realize the washer we took back when we'd gotten 2 washers was the one we bought, the other was the one they gave us instead of the dryer. Go figure. So once again hubby goes BACK and gets the correct washer.

Hook it up all is well except one thing... We have NO DIRTY laundry to wash!!!?? When does this happen? So I find bathroom mats that could use washed (maybe but whatever) and a few clothes, I take my work clothes off and stuff em in there and start the washer. Its so STRANGE the way it runs. We make sure its not leaking and let it go.

I happen to catch it on the spin cycle later, so I call Tim in and we sit and wait... and wait... and wait... How long did the other washer spin? Certainly NOT this long... IS it stuck on spin? How long is a normal spin, how long will it spin... is it slowing down? Yes? NO.... Still spinning.... should I pause it, open the lid and check it out? STILLLLLL spinning... oh wait... I think its slowing down... Nope... Get me a drink I'm thirsty... NO I don't want to miss it stopping. Seriously I got the step ladder and turned the hamper upside down and we sat there, waiting for our new washer to spin out. We honestly did this. It spun FOREVER.

The clothes now that they spun for half and hour are nearly dry. Seriously. It's awesome though. So my whole day revolved around a washer and dryer, literally. In fact I am going to finish this blog  now because I want to check the dryer, its supposed to "sense" when the clothes are dry, and stop... I'm wondering if it really does... How? Who knows!

Its not always 50/50

Sometimes one person has to hold up more weight than the other does. Lately I feel as though I am that person holding the extra weight. Lately I have been wishing I was not that person. I feel like I am being spread a bit too thin... I also feel like no matter how many times I try to explain myself, it does not matter.  So I will just keep waiting, and hopefully eventually someone will come and take a few books off of my stack. Take a load off. Help me out. Chip in. You get it? I am sure you do. Now if only other people did as well.  God doesnt give you more than you can handle. I wonder sometimes if He thinks the load he's giving me is being more evenly distributed than it is... Maybe he can review my case :)

8 years at the same job!

I will say this about my work. No matter what is said, word gets around. Words also get twisted and changed, and rumors fly like well I don't know kites? I think co-workers are like a second family, not like to the point where you want to invite them over for Thanksgiving dinner... More like your around them enough that you are more than likely to have seen a bad side of them, and learned some annoyances. Chances are they were grumpy or depressed or pissed at some point and you have seen them at their worst. I think that makes it easier to get under each others skin and become annoyed. You get annoyed, you get over it, you move on. Your still co workers and you still get through. Like family, there are spats, you get over it move on and after it all your still family.  So do I always love my co workers or getting up early, or when someone is rude to me, or when I don't make any money... OF COURSE NOT. I have good days and I have bad days. Today it was raining, I would have ...

Done Growing

Well soon enough it will be the start of a new school year. Sooner for my younger two, than for my older two. So today we went to get a few things that will be needed. Some shoes, socks and backpacks. Mommy needed a new pair of shoes too, I wear mine out pretty quickly being on my feet as a waitress.  So my son is about the pickiest shoe person out there. Nothing fits. We have to try on like every.single.shoe. in his size before he can choose. Its irritating and stressful. Hannah was pretty easy although she did not take the cheaper "on sale" pair I liked best. Either way she was quick and painless.  So then mom's turn. I put on a pair of 6.5 I wear those or 7's depending on the shoe. I wanted to try those new shoes with the curved bottom. Anyway... I get the 6.5 on and Hannah feels for my toes. "Oh you better get a size bigger" She says. "Those wont last the whole school year!" I told her I did not have to worry about outgrowing my shoes. My ...
