The oddly normal life of Clorie

I'm not sick. I'm just lazy. Ok I don't feel good and I definitely didn't feel like preparing dinner... You would have thought I had kicked the kids to the curb, when I told them to make themselves something... They are old enough to use the stove, oven and microwave....so get to it....and make mama something while your in there! Hannah did. Dinner in bed for sick mama. I'm a lucky lady. Sleepy time for me now.

Work was uneventful. Just busy enough to make some money. Got some more cookies delivered. Went thrift store shopping with my mama. Made dinner, and my mom took 2 kids to the library. That was nice. I have a dumb headache and some sort of cold trying to creep up on me. I'll have none of that Dammit!

 Yeah yeah yeah. I have slacked in my daily blog. Sometimes I think nothing really interesting happened, and its not worth blogging. I have found though, that doing it anyway usually something oddly comical comes out along the way.  So today what made me realize I had not blogged, was when I was taking a break from cleaning, to play a round or two of "UNO" with Hannah. I noticed something sticky on the coffee table. I asked her to bring me a wet paper towel so I could clean it up. She brought me a "half square" size cloth. I said wow... Don't go crazy on the paper towel. she replied with "Well its BOUNTY right!?".  ahhh commercials!  My aunt is moving. She sold her house and bought a new one, its another town away. Not right down the road like she is now. Today she stopped by with the kids on a walk, something she wont be able to do any more here soon. Something I will certainly miss. I love her, her kids and its nice knowing they are so close by...

So after 3 days off work, a bit had changed. My boss is in the hospital with appenicitus...had to have surgery and all that fun stuff. So work is a bit strange. No one to tell me I'm annoying or that my hair looks nice... Either way. It's work. Girlscout cookies are in, so now my job is to deliver, and collect cash. Fun times! Other than that, life at home is as normal as normal has ever been around here.  Made buffalo chicken soup for dinner the other night. It will be a new added in the rotation recipe, for sure.

Today I had my 3rd day, in a row, off of work. The kids all had physicals so that they could attend camp. Promise and bailey have a hole in their ear drum other than that...clean bill of health. I know how lucky our family really is to have four healthy, beautiful, and wonderful children. So of course we missed school lunch and I had to force down taco bell as lunch....why is the mt. Dew there so damn good? It was a well rounded day. Got groceries...trying out 3 new recipes this week. Dyed destinys hair, again. It hasn't fallen out yet. And we had breakfast for dinner. Numnum!

Sunday Sunday SUNDAY Tim and I were both off. All day. Together. Craziness. Got the garage clean, house clean, kids bathroom...looks like a bathroom again. Had a nice dinner. All in all. Another lovely day. I finally finished my picture wall too. It's pretty don't cha think?

The best in laws ever stopped by, the house was of course, a mess. They brought me over a birthday card. While they were here my mail came, with my shipment of vanilla tea! It was the.best day ever! The kids and I went to goodwill. I got a brand new massaging chair new in the box for 30 dollars! Price tag on it says 129. Not bad! I also got a sunflower trinket.

Today was a crazy day. Other waitress called in....and for some crazy reason the boss had short staffed us even if she had come in. So I ran my butt off....went home two hours and went back to run my butt off some more. My car club group came in, and they brought me a cake, and sang happy birthday to me. It was super sweet, and totally unexpected. So ill say it again I've said it before...I have awesome customers. I also got super busy for dinner rush, and made some pretty good bank! Happy birthday to me!

Oddly enough I didn't take even one photo today...and its actually tomorrow when I'm posting this blog, so I can't just take one. This week is going by pretty quickly. Took the kids to Exchange some pants....found some goodies at ROSS got the little 2 each new back packs. Awesome. Destiny has a bladder infection. Poor girl. Those really suck. Other than that it was an uneventfull Thursday... Tomorrow is my birthday. Woo.hoo.

Today was a good day. Miss Hannah went to work with me. I had her fill all my shakers, and sugars... We also got all her fundraiser candy bars sold. It was also pay day. Always a good day. I took my dogs tonne bathed...because, in the words of destiny, they smelled "like vagina". So there you have it. My fun filled Wednesday.

I worked and when I got home...hubby went to work. So I didn't get to see him....but I am pmsy and when I'm that way....he's usually on my nerves. I did save a butt ton on new boots for him. Originally 90.00 dollars on clearance for 27....subtract my 20% off coupon....and then I used my 10 dollar "birthday gift" so after tax, I paid just under 15 dollars for 90 dollar boots! Oh and that crazy noise the vans been making? Needed power steering fluid. Yep. Took it to the shop for that! Today was a productive day. Got boots. Cleaned the unbroken van, cooked a Yummy dinner, and the house while not clean....is still standing.

Monday. Back to work. Back to school....and snow! It's not going to.last long but it sure is pretty. The little kids spent at least an hour playing at a nearby hill with make shift sleds. Oh, and I got my garage door fixed. Finally. It's nice to open and close it again. Now maybe we can get it cleaned up....and park in it?

So my second and final day off....I wanted to spend, well OFF. So Tim took the van to work. Leaving me carless and unable to be a taxi. Shucks. I made an awesome supper, and got the house cleaned up. All in all it was a lovely day(s) off. I enjoyed myself.

So damn good. My kids even get along while there. Got a 5 dollar off coupon. As if I needed another reason to return!

Took Hannah to the store....seen Valentine balloons and thought I would get my sexy Valentine one. Running from store to car the string came lose and it flew away....into a tree, too high for me to reach. So for 5 bucks I showed my hubby a picture of the balloon I got him. It's the thought that counts. Two days off baby!!!

So we went to this new place ghenghas. It's a mongolian place. A set up salad bar type spot where you pick your raw meats/veggies spices and sauce....then they prepare it all on this large round flat grill. It was AWESOME. The kids even.loved it! I found a new place to sneak off on lunch dates with my husband! Yum!

At work that is. Today sucked. Work was slammed. I was.grumpy. full moon I guess... Then having an.ok night at home I get a bitchy text (complete with photo) from my boss. No better way to end a freaking fantastic day. I cannot wait for my weekend off.

Tax refund is in. Time to pay off all of the credit card bills! So much fun. I realized the ear plugs that let me sleep through my husbands shores...are giving me ear aches. So last night I left them out....I'm tired today. :/

Braces are off! 5000 or so dollars well spent I suppose. Or not. Now she's so pretty I need a bigger stick to beat boys off with. Today was a good good day. Everyone got along with everyone today. Even Tim. Days like today I live for. Went shopping with my mom. Made a dinner no one complained about. Work was slow but no drama. Good day.

Today I was reminded of why I love my job. It's my awesome customers. This regular weekend man was in eating lunch. I had just had several tables leave, and was the only one in the store...this customer...cleaned off all 5 if my dirty tables while I cooked a carry out order and his. How awesome is that!? I'm lucky to be blessed in life with the people around me. Top it all off with the kids cleaning house while I was gone to work..and getting along. I know right. I thought I was dreaming too! Even pinched myself. It's all real. I'm a lucky lady!

Apparently I am annoying at work... That's where being a loyal hard working employee gets you I suppose. How annoying it must be to know you can count on me showing up for a scheduled shift. Even more so knowing if you ask me to come in on my day off, to stay late, or work 13 days in a row I will do it....with only mild complaining. How dare I be so damn annoying... It must have been so annoying to watch me fold all those damn boxes, make those orders and wait on those tables. I will try to be less annoying in the future. I have next weekend off. You have honestly NO idea how I cannot wait for it.

Self pity: the only other waitress besides me...was no call/show today I'm praying she has a good reason, and shows up. Otherwise I'm the only server, again. That and I really liked working with her. Self portrait: talking to the guys at work tonight... My camera somehow came on and I took this lovely photo of myself... Dennis almost died laughing. I had parent teacher con. For the littles today. Both are doing well. I already knew....but its good to hear regardless. Today has felt like 3 days long, but other than that. It was interesting.

It's not always gross when I cook. Homemade cheese sticks were a hit. Tim didn't even get to try one! Oh and he's back to work at Monte ne. Thank goodness!

It just doesn't. Certain chores. You do them, and normally, before you've even finished there's more. Dishes. As soon as you've washed the last cup. Someone needs a drink. Cat box. Get that last clump of litter out, someone's gotta poop. Laundry, once you have that last load in the dryer....someone has to go to bed...which involves removing clothing. I guess that's why chores are considered, chores, huh?

Nothing to cook in the house. Was hoping, since promise has proven she can chew...we could to out for tims birthday meal....of cours one kid kept going on and on about it....then got attitude ( not one of the teens either BTW) so I said forget it....remembering several dining experiences with my kids on tude days. I'll go get something. I guess normally this means fast food....since everyone started belting out an order or 2 or making establishment suggestions. Well I went to Walmart. Got stuff to uh, cook, at home. Broccoli cheese soup, grilled ham sandwiches, and pickles. #1 comes out when she sees I'm home....expecting still a bag of.already made fast.food....taco bell was on her wish list.... "oh. Your cooking....GROSS" said in the nicest way possible I am sure. Makes you feel really appreciated. Guess what family.will NOT have take out food this month?
